  1. I’ve reported some obvious spammers in the last week. Yesterday’s was about propolis and herbal remedies (propolis is from bees and so doesn’t qualify as “herbal” itself).

In most cases though, you can’t have spam without a web link or phone number or address. I suppose Dave’s comment was just too short.

  2. Too short? So no more “+1” comments? 😀

PS: I am just trough reporting some SPAMers this morning – it seems that spamassassin does not catch all … 🙁

  3. Naww, man! An apology would be weird and would make me feel bad. Everybody knows things are being worked on. I’m here voluntarily and have suffered no damage by it.

On my blog I am just pointing out a quirk I discovered that I found mildly amusing.

  4. I kind of like having not been on Spam Patrol since leaving My Opera. Sometimes it was fun. Other times, I hunt down spam just to burn up some despise.

I suspect that Vivaldi will be pressured in to giving Slackwrdave the slavering apology he so richly deserves as a dedicated volunteer. Hear that Vivaldi? Getting to puckering (but wipe your chin first)! Do keep us posted, Dave.

  5. I suspect they don’t spend much time reading blogs themselves. If they don’t even know about it, why would they apologize?

  6. I wonder if spamassassin only monitors comments or if it monitors blog posts too:
The SPAM problem seems to get worse – this morning the first 3 pages in the blogs overview were 100% SPAM – may be someone really should look through the blogs on a regular base and build an additional custom filter for those …
